Are there detective women. Inside view: a day in the life of a criminal investigation officer

In a series of hundreds of professions, there are several designed for real men, strong in spirit and body. Service in the police is just one of them, especially in the criminal investigation department. Here the characters are tempered like steel.

In the office of the deputy head of the police department for the Petrovsky district, the head of the criminal police, Vladimir Levin, the phone does not stop ringing, subordinates come in, important issues are resolved and tobacco smoke hangs like a rocker. Levin smokes a lot - an old habit of the detective, he says, helps to concentrate. The chief, although he has been the head of the criminal police for many years, which includes the criminal investigation department, remains an opera in his soul. This is his native service, in the criminal investigation department he started as an ordinary employee. Now he is in charge of the criminal police and, of course, keeps his finger on the pulse of every criminal case.

While Lieutenant Colonel Levin is solving another work issue, I look around in his office. On the shelves are legal literature, business folders, a pipe (how could a detective do without it?!) and a wad of money, very impressive. The lieutenant colonel tracks my gaze (professional!) and says:

- So write that we are millionaires with operas, - and immediately smiles, - this is a “doll”.

If the employees of the criminal investigation department are rich in anything, then work - violators do not give rest day or night, neither on weekdays, nor on holidays. Here we often watch the history of cine operas on TV. The real ones say it's 90 percent fiction. Their work is completely different, although they have to sit in ambushes and take armed criminals with their bare hands. True, all this professional "romance" is a closed topic, it is not customary to talk about it. Detectives in general are people of few words.

And yet we will try. Let's take Andrey Kovalev, head of the threat. A broad-shouldered, strong, solid Russian peasant, on whom the mother earth rests. Calm, laconic. As a professional, he is priceless. He started in the 1990s as an opera, went through all the stages of professional growth, and has been leading the search for years. Just the person who knows all the ins and outs of regional crime. How many interesting cases he revealed with his guys! There are 16 people working in the structure of the criminal investigation department, there are two special groups: one, the so-called homicide, is engaged in murders and crimes against the person, the other specializes in searching for wanted criminals, missing persons, and also identifies unidentified bodies. By the way, this difficult task even for men was recently handled by a young woman - detective senior lieutenant Irina Vinogradskaya, now she is serving in Chechnya under a contract and has already received the rank of captain.

In addition to working in groups of employees, the rest of the opera are responsible for specific areas of the district. Each has five to seven plots. And there is no need to figure out where the situation is calmer - in the city or the village. And here and there, guest performers are more often operating. Here is a recent example. In Nikolina Balka, they robbed the post office - they dismantled the wall and got inside. The criminal was searched all over the region, detained in Nevinnomyssk: a curious case, during the next robbery, the thief simply got stuck in a wall opening. By the way, he began to trade in theft in the era of developed socialism, he always cleaned only mail, and he had only one way to enter - through a hole in the wall. An elderly thief worked with an accomplice ... a cat. He was the first to let her into the building and checked whether the alarm would work or not.

This is one of the few occasions when you can smile, albeit with a bit of sadness. More often, operas have to deal with people who are dangerous and cunning. Not so long ago, a daring robbery was uncovered by an international group: two Chechens and a Russian. The trinity was hiding in Chechnya, Peter's detectives ran after them through the mountains. The Chechen militia rendered all-round assistance, the cooperation left a good impression: normal guys work there, it's not easy for them! Such a thing, probably, cannot be easy. It is good that new technologies are coming to the rescue, the polygraph is actively used, in other words, a lie detector. A few days ago, he helped bring to light a pedophile who committed indecent acts against a young girl. In justification, he came up with the original version - he confused the girl with her mother. But he failed to deceive the detector.

Alas, it cannot do without “capercaillie” and cannot do without it. There are cases from the category of very difficult to unravel, this especially applies to the so-called contract crimes. But real detectives have such a grasp that in the end even the most seemingly hopeless cases are revealed.

A few years ago, we only heard about maniacs, pedophiles, "orders" on TV. Now these terrible crimes are familiar firsthand in a quiet province. And the first to meet this evil are the employees of the criminal investigation department. They stand in the way of dirt and evil spirits, so that grief and trouble do not come to our hearths, so that fear does not know the way to our streets. And in their homes their wives and children are waiting for them, their mothers are praying for them...

Petrovsky district.

Today, law schools are recruiting cadets and students. At the same time, the requirements for girls are not reduced. They, along with the young men, undergo a young fighter course (KMB) before they take the oath. They also study all disciplines in their specialization. They go to training grounds to conduct shooting and tactical training, study martial arts, self-defense and capture techniques. They also step into daily outfits. But not every young man copes with duties in such conditions.

Who do the girls work

Women can be found in various divisions. This includes the investigative department, where interrogators and investigators work, and the criminal investigation department, where the positions of detectives or forensic specialists are more often assigned, and private security, and district workers. There are women in the traffic police in the position of inspector or patrol guard. The juvenile inspectorate mainly employs the fair sex. Universities of the Federal Penitentiary Service train women escorts, security guards in women's and children's colonies.

In addition, many of the fair sex serve in administrative positions:

Department for the implementation of administrative legislation;
- department of information technologies, communications and information protection;
- the direction of office work and regime.

Career

Often, when entering the service as a lieutenant (provided that they graduate from the higher education institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs), women quite soon find themselves not in the positions of ordinary employees, but in the positions of assistants to the head or become leaders themselves. This is due to the fact that the fair sex, who has chosen to serve the people and the fatherland as their profession, gives himself entirely to the profession, showing miracles of working capacity. Representatives of the fair sex serve in the police, even in the rank.

However, we must remember that, entering the service in the structural units of the police, a woman dooms herself to work (if the situation so requires) and at any time of the day. For this reason, after 2-3 years, when romance goes away, only girls devoted to their profession, who are proud of the whole country, remain in the service of the people.

Police work seems promising and attractive to many young people. In addition, it provides good benefits (we will also talk about them in this article). How to get a job in the police? First, decide on the position (and there are no less of them in the police structure than in any other state) and understand how you meet the requirements for applicants. After that, it will be possible to prepare a package of documents and submit it for consideration to the personnel department.

Police work: main positions

The police of the Russian Federation is a complex of state structures responsible for order in the country. Accordingly, a wide range of specialists work in them - these are district police officers, investigators, operatives, accountants, personnel specialists, and so on. This leads to the question - is it possible to work in the police without a legal education? Of course, it all depends on what position you would like to take. To work in accounting, you don’t need a legal education, but you can’t do without an economic one, and for a job in the juvenile department, you will need a pedagogical “crust”.

Conditions for joining the police

The conditions for hiring a police officer are as follows:

  1. Citizens of the Russian Federation of any gender, fit for service for health reasons, can become employees of the bodies.
  2. There is an age limit - men and women aged 18 to 35 can work in the internal affairs bodies. At the same time, a new job for former police officers can be provided even after the age of 35. That is, if you previously served in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but then for some reason the experience was interrupted, you can re-get a job up to 50 years.
  3. Education must match the position. At the same time, work as an opera in the police is possible with a secondary vocational education, but for the commanding staff the requirements will be more stringent.

Of course, the requirements for an operative and an accountant will differ. Therefore, before starting to collect a package of documents, clarify what the work of the district police officer or an employee of another position of interest to you is, and assess your compliance with the established standards. You can find the general qualification requirements in Art. 14 and 17 of the Federal Law No. 342 of 2011

Police work for women

How to get a job in the police for a girl? Just like a young person or a man. Until how many years you can get a job in the police, we wrote above - these requirements are the same for both sexes.

Who is closed to the authorities?

Work as an investigator in the police or in any other position does not shine:

  • businessmen;
  • people who are not ready to work with state secrets;
  • persons with a criminal record, repeated arrests and convicted relatives.

Is it possible to get into the police without the army? You can, but without the right to delay the call. In a number of cases, applicants liable for military service are denied employment, although there is no such clause in law.

Documents required for employment

Let's figure out what documents are needed to get a job with the police:

  • statement;
  • A completed application form;
  • autobiography (a sample of an autobiography for working in the police can be viewed on the Internet);
  • diploma;
  • military ID (for those liable for military service);
  • information about income and property;
  • employment history.

This is the main list of documents - perhaps the work of an interrogator in the police in the department of your choice will require additional paperwork. Therefore, specify what is needed to get a job in the police specifically in your case.

The procedure for hiring employees to work in bodies

The procedure for applying for a job in the police is as follows:

  1. Contact the HR department of the structural unit where you want to work.
  2. Submit a package of documents.
  3. Pass examinations and tests.

A medical examination is required to confirm fitness for military service. It involves a standard set of surveys. Psychological testing is done to test emotional stability. Upon successful completion of the test, the applicant enters the internship. The average internship period is 3-6 months, after which the person is accepted for the appropriate position.

How to get a job in the police after serving in the army? Say that you are on a special account and indicate in which troops you want to serve. The headquarters of the division has its own units in which you can serve on the job.

Benefits for police officers

Working as a driver in the police or in other positions provides the following benefits - free medical care, lowered retirement age, paid long holidays, the ability to buy housing under a preferential program. The salary for most specialties, taking into account bonuses and additional payments, is also quite good.

How to get a job in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for an operational position?

Good day to all!

I am 28 years old, I did not serve in the army, I have a higher education, but not a legal one. I changed several jobs, but I didn’t like anything, and somehow life is more drawn to romance. Is it possible to get a job in the Ministry of Internal Affairs as an operational officer?

Please do not write in the spirit that the work is routine, etc. I know myself. but nevertheless, knowing myself, my interests and skills, I understand that there I would be in my place.

And another question: I heard somewhere that if you have a higher education, when you come to this kind of service, you automatically receive an officer rank. Is it so?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

There is no way now - until the end of March, not only recruitment, but also transfers are prohibited. And so - go to the personnel department of the Department of Internal Affairs at the place of registration or the Main Department of Internal Affairs in Moscow, everyone will tell you there.

Reception has already been allowed, I will even tell you a secret from other cities - from regions adjacent to the Moscow Region. The only question is whether they will take on operational work without a legal education?

quote: and somehow life is more drawn to romance

There, manna from heaven in the form of dollar bills does not fall to everyone, but you will definitely find hemorrhoids on your ass.

quote: Reception has already been allowed, I’ll even tell you a secret from other cities - from areas adjacent to the Moscow Region. The only question is whether they will take on operational work without a legal education?

Reception lumpenov begins?

I don’t mind getting a second higher legal degree, the main thing is to have the opportunity to get a job there, because then maybe I will move to the investigative department when I get a second education. but initially I really don’t want to go to a cabinet position.

First of all, contact the personnel department of the District Department of Internal Affairs, where you want to work, if there are vacancies there, then complete everything. If not, they will be sent to the city / regional administration to the personnel department, where positions will be offered.

When all pass - for some time (until the rank and form of admission come for a secret) you will be an intern (get a bare salary without allowances). Then they will be sent to a training center for about 3 months, where they will finish the necessary basics. No matter what anyone says, the UC is really preparing for work. The main thing is not to eat vodka instead of classes.

Then come directly to work. For the first half of the year, they won’t particularly ask, they will look at what you are like, assign it to the senior opera, who will show you what’s what.

PS. Higher education is already an officer's position, no matter what, only with a non-core maximum lieutenant colonel. Although, now they don’t look at it much. If a person is a worker, then he is needed with any education, if he is an idler, then with a specialized one.

Brother Serpent - short and clear!

At one time, we had a practice in the Department of Internal Affairs to attract future candidates as "freelancers" with the issuance of a certificate. The work basically boiled down to leaving for searches, door-to-door interviews, etc. It concerned mainly students of the last courses of institutes. After such an informal internship, a testimonial was written that helped the non-criminal guy feel more confident before the selection. (It was in the mid-90s, when there was no work at all in our city with 8 universities and it was possible to choose one person out of 3 interns in the ESD or the Economic Crime Department.)

quote: The only question is whether they will take on operational work without a legal education?

They will take it to the ground. I don't know at the Internal Affairs Directorate-GUVD.

quote: There is no way now - until the end of March, not only recruitment, but also transfers are prohibited.

On the city website of Yekaterinurg e1.ru, I found valid proposals for both admission and transfer to the police and the Federal Penitentiary Service. Since I also heard about the ban, I was a little surprised.

quote: Is it possible to get a job in the Ministry of Internal Affairs as an operational officer?

I have old connections there.

Try drug control.

In the Ministry of Internal Affairs so far - not a foot. Yes, and they won’t take it, they themselves don’t know where a third of the personnel are deprived of doing.

As usual, they wanted to reduce rednecks in warm places, but in fact they are reducing those who walk on the ground with their feet. No one will be expelled from the "warm" office.

Don't even try yet.

Romance is romance, but you are ready to spend the night in the department for 3 days (and for free). Relatives will see houses only sometimes and then sleeping, if there is a family, consider that in six months or a year it will not be there. that's how it is. Well, if there is no family and money is not a problem.

Romance ends with a couple of night ambushes in pissed-off entrances.

quote: Romance ends with a couple of night ambushes

As an experienced person, I can responsibly declare that romance will truly end during the very first conversation in the prosecutor's office, following the complaint of a burnt client, whose place is near the bucket ..

It wouldn't be too late.

It is worse when the boss is a "traitor". I didn’t have time to return from the address, and they already call you on the carpet with the question - “What are you doing there?! They already called FROM THERE.” You immediately understand that the world is gray)

quote: I did not have time to return from the address, but they are already calling you

Make me laugh.

You won't be able to return.

The head of the KM asked me BEFORE the trip. True, any answer suited him, only he had to answer confidently.

Once, when he saw how my partner and I were walking down the corridor with a masha (there was such a sledgehammer adapted for "politely knocking on the door", he sternly asked us where we were going.

Oh, Sergei Evgenievich, really, it's better for you not to know! -would be my answer.

Today, representatives of both the male half of humanity and the female half of humanity can work as a policeman in Russia. The first requirement is an age range of 18 to 35. If you meet it and want to learn how to become a policeman, then you need to carefully study all the criteria by which future defenders of the country are selected. In addition to meeting the required qualities, you should be prepared for the fact that you need to prepare certain materials and go through a serious medical, psychological and professional commission.

Where future police officers are trained

The police profession, like any other, requires special education. If the decision on future work is made before graduation, it is possible to choose the right educational institution. In our country, there are three universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which have branches in all regions of Russia and 5 academies. In addition, there are many institutes, schools and Suvorov schools of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In each of them you can get the appropriate education. However, if you have not graduated from an educational institution under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but you have a diploma of higher legal education from any university in the country, this will greatly help you in the question of how to become a policeman. Even if you have a different education, if you want to get this profession. You will be directed to accelerated courses, after which you can apply. At the same time, it is desirable that your education is not lower than secondary special.

Documents required for applying for a job

If the first two requirements (age and education) suit you, then the next step is to determine the documents that are required to apply for a job. So, the third step of the question, how to become a policeman in Russia, requires the following steps:

  • preparation of copies of documents: personal passport of Russian and foreign, diploma of education, TIN, certified work book;
  • writing a job application;
  • filling in the application form of a candidate for a job;
  • writing an autobiography.

Job Candidate Requirements

The next step is to confirm your eligibility. How can you become a police officer? First of all, you need excellent physical preparation. To check compliance with this paragraph, you will have to go through a serious medical commission, which consists of doctors from almost all specializations. Usually this check takes at least 3 days. The list of doctors you need to go through is different, it depends on the specific position you are applying for. The standard medical board includes a consultation with the following specialists:

This list may vary depending on the gender of the candidate. For example, women need to additionally undergo an examination by a gynecologist and a mammologist.

In addition, it is necessary to pass blood and urine tests, as well as pass a test for the use of narcotic substances. Then you need to do a fluorography and an ECG. It is also necessary to obtain certificates from dispensaries stating that you do not have mental disorders, tuberculosis and venereal diseases.

Psychological testing and sports training

It is impossible to answer the question of how to become a policeman without diagnosing the candidate's psychological health. To pass this test, you need to fill out various questionnaires and answer many questions in writing, among which there are those that reveal the degree of truthfulness of the answers. This commission may in some cases include a polygraph test. After the written part, you need to go through an oral interview with a psychologist and answer a number of his questions.

After passing the commissions, you should confirm your physical fitness. It is usually tested with exercises such as push-ups, pull-ups and sprints. In the matter of passing these checks, serving in the army will be your advantage.

In addition to health, the biography will also be carefully checked, both yours and those of your immediate family. The presence of a criminal record for you or one of them is a guaranteed refusal to hire.

Passing an interview

If all of the above steps are successfully completed, you will be invited for an interview. The questions that will be asked in this case can be absolutely anything. They may relate to your childhood, hobbies, personal life and plans for the future. Do not forget that your goal at the moment is the answer to the question of how to become a policeman correctly.

The interview is a very important part of the hiring decision, so you need to carefully prepare for it. First of all, you need to have a neat appearance. Jeans, sneakers and other attributes of a sporty style are inappropriate in this case. Men just need to put on a suit or at least dress pants and a shirt, shave and cut their hair. Women can be advised a business suit with a skirt no higher than the knee, comfortable shoes, preferably with heels, a modest hairstyle, a minimum of jewelry and cosmetics.

During the interview, you need to remember the basic rules of communication psychology:

  • look the interlocutor in the eyes;
  • do not cross your arms and do not hide them under the table;
  • do not cross your legs;
  • behave naturally and kindly.

The more nervous you show, the more questions the interlocutor will have.

Beginning of work

If you successfully passed the interview, then you may soon be invited to work. However, it is a mistake to think that this is the last stage of the question of how to become a policeman. After successfully completing all the listed steps, you will have an internship, which can last from one to three months. During this time, the police officer assigned to you will be responsible for you. If the internship is completed successfully, you will be offered to start work for a trial period. And only after it is over, it will be possible to say that your career as a policeman has begun.

Women on guard

Recently, more and more women have expressed a desire to work in law enforcement. That is why the question of how to become a police girl is quite relevant. It should be noted that when applying both to educational institutions and directly to work, they do not make much indulgence for the female sex. Passing commissions and confirming physical fitness for them are mandatory items.

According to statistics, in recent years the number of girls entering the educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has increased significantly. However, after graduation and the start of a career, the fair sex is faced with a choice: family or work. More than 70% decide the issue in favor of the husband and children, and that is why girls are so reluctant to take both to study and to work.

How to become a police officer after 9th grade

Many schoolchildren who are determined to become police officers in the future begin specialized training after the 9th grade. To do this, you can enter the police school, where they are accepted already from this age, or the cadet corps. You can also go to college to study law.

If a decision is made to study at a police school or a cadet corps, then you must confirm your compliance with the requirements of the educational institution. This is the passage of psychological testing, medical examination and verification of physical fitness. You also need to pass an exam in history in oral form and in the Russian language in the form of a dictation, composition or presentation. After graduation, further admission to a higher educational institution is necessary to obtain the rank above junior lieutenant.

Our service is both dangerous and difficult...

Thus, the requirements for a candidate for a job in law enforcement are quite high. However, if you want to be not just an employee, but you are interested in how to become a good policeman, then first of all you must love your profession and imagine all future difficulties.

This is the daily exposure of one's own life to risk, the minimum amount of free time, daily duty, urgent calls to work and many other difficulties. And only dedication to your work can help you become a really good professional and reach the heights of the career ladder.

How to become a police officer?

If you are seriously thinking about how to get a job in the police and your desire is weighed, deliberate and final, it's time to start looking for vacancies. Naturally, your desire alone is not enough to become a policeman. To become an ordinary police officer, an applicant for this position must not have any health problems, have completed secondary education and have no criminal record. To become a middle or senior police officer, the requirements are even more stringent. Education must be secondary special or higher.

Many are sure that in order to be accepted into the police behind them, it is necessary to have served in the army. However, it is not.

Military service is not a prerequisite for employment, but it is an advantage when considering candidates for employment.

The easiest way to become a police officer is to have a diploma of higher education in one of the law schools. This education allows you to count on getting a job as a detective, interrogating officer or investigator. In addition, those who have a higher pedagogical education can also find a job in the police. They may be offered positions in the juvenile department.

In order to become a police officer in Russia, the best option would be to contact the personnel department of the police department. If there are vacancies for which you can apply, they will be offered to you.

After your candidacy is approved, you will be asked to undergo a medical examination and an interview that a psychologist will conduct with you.

A citizen with appropriate health can become a police officer.

If "medicine" rejects you, there is no need to despair. Try to put your health in order and try to pass the commission again. If you have chronic diseases or any contraindications to work in the police, it is better to turn your attention to another field of activity that is less demanding on the state of health.

A psychological examination consists in the fact that a specialist psychologist will interview you and ask you a series of questions, the number of which can reach six hundred. You may also be asked to solve several problems to determine your ability to think logically. As a rule, adequate people who do not have any mental or psychological problems and deviations from this interview should not be afraid.

While you are going through a medical and psychological check, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will thoroughly study and check your biography. This check is a prerequisite for all applicants, regardless of what rank they apply for. The main obstacle to getting a job in the police may be a criminal record, not only of the candidate himself, but also of one of his close relatives. If you know that someone from your close relatives is not clean before the law, it is better not to even try to get a job with the police and not take up the time of their employees.

After passing all the commissions and checks, you can count on the fact that you will be taken to the police for a temporary internship. For the duration of your probation, you will be in charge of a police officer who will be assigned as your mentor. The probationary period usually lasts from three months to six months, and the mentor who will train you will have to vouch for you that you will comply with all the prohibitions and restrictions regarding police officers that are specified in the Federal Law of the Russian Federation.

After you successfully complete the internship and prove your best, you will be able to get an appointment for the position for which you applied, as well as the corresponding title. The entire period of internship that you completed in order to get a job in the police will be taken into account in your police experience.

This concludes the article "How to become a policeman" and wish you all the best!

How to become a police officer

If you are tormented by a routine life in which there is not enough adrenaline, and you dream of an extraordinary job that will not give you time for boredom, then the police profession is created just for you. As usual, desire alone is not enough. Then the question arises: how to become a policeman?

According to the law, both a man and a woman can become an employee of the bodies. They also say that the Ministry of Internal Affairs does not accept without serving in the army - this can be questioned. Its presence is desirable, but not mandatory. And if someone has awakened an unquenchable thirst to connect his life with the police path, but he does not know where to start, the upcoming information will be very useful for the attention of such people.

How to become a police officer in Russia?

And now it's time to act. The path will begin with a visit to the personnel department of the police department of interest. There they will conduct an interview with you, and if you have an education (preferably higher legal education), they can accept you on the very first day.

But do not be upset if this is not available. In this case, you will be given directions to preparatory courses, where, according to an accelerated program, it will be possible to obtain all the necessary knowledge. After that, it will be necessary to have a conversation with a psychologist who will decide whether you are ready to serve in the police.

Also, the personnel department will be required to check your biography, and your close relatives, for a criminal record. If these procedures are successful, the most interesting part of employment awaits you - verification and collection of documents.

As with any job, you will need to collect a lot of documents. In order to completely go through all the instances, you will need to collect:

  1. Application for employment with the police.
  2. Questionnaire to be handwritten.
  3. Diploma of existing education.
  4. A guarantee from one or two police officers who have been working for more than three years.
  5. The autobiography will also have to be written by hand.
  6. Military ID.
  7. Employment book, if you have work experience.
  8. An identification number.
  9. Passport, and if available, a passport.
  10. Your consent, in writing, to the verification and analysis of personal data.
  11. Income statement.

In order to fully pass the medical examination, it may take from 3 to 5 days or more. It all depends on the state of your health. No matter how simple it may seem, there is a very high chance that this is where your employment will end. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has very high requirements for the health of its employees.

So! What does the medical board include? And something like this:

  • Get a certificate from the psycho-neurological dispensary stating that you do not have drug addiction and sexually transmitted problems. And do you suffer from mental disorders?
  • In addition, you will need to pass all standard tests.
  • Further examination on the lie detector is required. And this is not another TV program for you, but a rather complicated psychological test, which includes more than one hundred questions.
  • The next thing to do is to go through a huge number of rooms, such as an ENT, ophthalmologist, surgeon, therapist and others.
  • You will also have to go for x-rays and fluorography and the like.

When all the problems with certificates and commissions have already passed, you will have to wait for an equally difficult segment of the path - physical training. In order to have physically healthy guardians of the law on the streets, the evaluation criteria here are also very high. The complex of sports exercises that are taken into account during admission include:

  • Short distance running (100 meters for both men and women).
  • Long distance running (girls - 1000 meters, guys - 3000)
  • Pull-ups are for boys only.
  • Bench press from a lying position - for girls.

Well, you have come to the end of your tedious work. Now all that remains is to wait and hope that it is your candidacy that has been awaited here for so long.

How to become a police girl?

In our country, where people are so narrowly squeezed by social boundaries, for many people it is completely unusual to see a girl at work in the police. But this is not the case in all countries of the world.

In most Western European countries, a woman in uniform is considered completely normal. And if among our beautiful halves there are those who have long dreamed of such a job, but they care about the opinions of others, then there is one piece of advice for them: close their eyes to the opinions of others and go forward to meet their desires.

The Criminal Investigation Department is the largest division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The work of an operative criminal investigation officer is one of the most difficult, but at the same time very interesting professions. Many graduates of the Academies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and ordinary citizens dream of working here. But only the best professionals in their field are selected for such work.

A lot of series and films have been shot about operas today, but all of them do not fully reflect the real work of the police. Therefore, those who want to work as detectives just for the sake of “walking around civilians with a gun” are deeply mistaken.

Reconomica continues to talk about professions in the police. Today you will learn how to enter the service of the Criminal Investigation Department, what qualities and skills a future operative should have, what are the main duties of an operative, and how much he gets for it.

Good day everyone! My name is Petrov Valery Ivanovich. I was born in 1989 in the small town of Tokmak, which is located in the Zaporozhye region in the south of Ukraine. From 2010 to 2015, he worked in the local inter-district department as an operative of the criminal investigation department.

My work place

For many, working as an opera is immediately associated with the series “Streets of Broken Lanterns” or other similar films. There is something similar, but in practice everything is completely different. Indeed, the main activity of operas is the disclosure of non-obvious crimes.

For example, someone committed a crime, and at first glance it is not clear who. Then the opera enters the case, analyzes a lot of information received, interviews witnesses, finds the places of sale of the stolen goods, works with agents and, finally, is determined by the summary information with the identity of the criminal.

What skills do you need to have

As for knowledge and skills, if you decide to choose this profession, then you just need excellent physical fitness.

In my practice, more than once I had to participate in the pursuit of a criminal and, fortunately, not one escaped from me.

It is necessary to be able to defend and attack, it is better to master any kind of martial arts.

Remember that weapons will only be issued to you on duty, and they can only be used in extremely rare cases, and work is associated with constant risks.

Opera requires higher education

The work of a security officer provides for an officer's rank and the presence of a higher education. To do this, you will need to graduate from a higher educational institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or take retraining courses with an existing higher education.

As a rule, such universities are located in regional centers, and the training will be from 3 to 5 years. At the time of training, you will be credited with work experience as a cadet.

Upon graduation, you receive the rank of junior lieutenant or lieutenant and go to work in the direction according to your specialty.

Graduates of Higher Educational Institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

You will receive all the necessary legal knowledge during the training. In addition, you will have the opportunity to reinforce them in practice, undergoing an internship during the period of study at the regional department.

It is better to enter the educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs immediately after school

If you have really decided on the profession of your life, it is best to go to study after school. Firstly, you will be credited with work experience, secondly, you will avoid military service and, thirdly, you will be able to receive a decent salary at an earlier age, since one of the criteria for its formation is work experience.

Primary training takes place in the barracks

As a rule, the employer cannot immediately hire you, but sends you for training. To do this, a personal file is formed for each employee.

The initial learning process is not difficult, but rather tedious. As a rule, it contains a stay in the barracks (that is, with permanent residence in a common room and a special exit regime) from 6 months to 2 years.

But don't worry, you can take both time off and vacation. Scholarship provided.

In Ukraine, a young specialist immediately after graduation from the university can count on a salary of $330-350.

The main selection criteria for the position. First interview

The main thing is that you or your close relatives do not have a criminal record, and you are a mentally healthy person. Of course, the lack of vacancies at the enterprise may interfere with the choice of a candidate, but, as a rule, there are enough of them. Even if not for the desired position, then something similar will be selected.

Come to the interview in neatly ironed clothes, trimmed, shaved and give the impression of a serious, responsible person. Try not to ask stupid questions, listen and take notes.

Working days of the detective

The labor process includes a 6-day working week with a work schedule from 09.00 to 18.00. Saturday may be shortened. In some cases, an irregular working day, a recall from a weekend or vacation is possible.

Opera work is really exciting and interesting.

Surveillance, chases, persecution and, of course, paperwork. They say that a good opera works at night and sleeps during the day. Indeed, after all, most crimes are committed at night, and they can be solved in hot pursuit.

Cases from service practice

In my practice, it somehow happened that during the standard check of a suspicious person, he threw his things and started to run away. The guy climbed over 4 fences when I caught up with him. It turned out that the man was wanted, hiding, and he had illegal drugs with him.

Once information was received that a wanted serial criminal had entered the building of the enterprise, after which surveillance was urgently put up. They spent two days in the “ambush”, and it turned out that the criminal was covered by his relative, who works there. The offender was detained in one of the offices of the enterprise.

Suspects often behave inappropriately during interrogations.

It has repeatedly been that during the interrogation of a suspect, he tries to inflict some kind of harm on himself: usually he breaks a window pane with his head or tries to jump out. This is done in order to stop the interrogation, and then complain to the prosecutor's office.

Salary and social guarantees

During the period of my work, the salary fluctuated from 170 to 300 US dollars.

Currently, the average salary in Ukraine is about US$350. is about 40 thousand rubles, depending on the rank, region, conditions of service and length of service (it can be either less or much more).

Remuneration is made once a month and consists mainly of salary, bonuses for rank, seniority and bonuses. The bonus is more than half of the salary.

The social package provides only for the extraordinary enrollment of the child in kindergarten, paid sick leave and vacation.

Advantages and disadvantages of this profession

What is positive points this profession is:

  • satisfaction from the work done and awareness of the benefits to society;
  • stable salary;
  • paid sick leave and vacation;
  • the presence of the 13th salary;
  • invaluable experience of communicating with people, which will come in handy more than once in your life;
  • usually friendly staff.

But not everything sounds as good as it is done. A lot has remained from the post-Soviet space, namely, indicators. As much as I and my employees would not like, but the option that nothing happened will not work.

Our main task is to solve crimes

It is necessary to solve crimes, find an evidence base, and there are certain figures for how much needs to be done. Otherwise, it threatens with deprivation of bonuses or transfer to another position. Also to the disadvantages of this profession can be attributed:

  • irregular work schedule,
  • the risk of getting a chronic and other disease;
  • injury or injury related to persecution;
  • social circle, as a rule, from among disadvantaged persons;
  • long career growth;
  • lack of personal life due to lack of free time;
  • psychological pressure from management.

Is career growth possible?

Increasing the career ladder is still possible, but this is a rather lengthy process, because there is a limited number of positions in the regional department. Therefore, if you work hard, you have good performance at work, then you will not see a higher position while it is occupied by another person. Although, of course, money and dating in our time play a significant role.

Before the first increase, on average, from 3 to 5 years is enough.

Opera needs to be born

Before choosing your future profession, I wish you to think carefully about whether this profession suits you to your liking, to communicate with workers in your area.

Opera, I think, you need to be born, to be a gambler, you need to love to communicate with people and get to know them.

The profession is difficult, but if you are a loner in life, and you have enough time and patience to figure everything out, then this job is for you.

Mode of action In total, the Norilsk Criminal Investigation Department employs about 60 employees, of which only five are women, and only two girls work on the ground. One of them - Natalia FEDOROV.Natalia is a beautiful, modest, charming girl, a graduate of the Faculty of Economics of St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University. Now she is getting a second higher, now legal, education at the Siberian Institute of Business and Information Technologies. She is 24 years old and has been working in the police for four years. During this time, Natalia managed to work as an assistant to the district police officer of a separate battalion of the patrol service and, finally, she accepted the offer to start serving as a detective of the criminal investigation department. At first, she was engaged in the search for missing persons, and later she moved to the crime investigation department on the territory of the Center, which covers part of the Central District. She says that she came to the police because she considers the profession of a policeman to be prestigious, allowing her to gain tremendous practical experience, as well as acquire the skills to communicate with people from various social strata, learn patience and the ability to analyze and observe.
The Norilsk Criminal Investigation Department consists of four departments, each of which works in its own direction. So, for example, the department for combating crimes against the person deals with the disclosure of murders, beatings, rapes, harm to health, and so on. Operatives of the department for combating drugs reveal crimes related to the manufacture of drugs and their distribution. Employees of the search department are looking for missing people, missing people, hiding criminals, identifying unidentified corpses. There are similar departments in all police departments, both in the Central District and in Kayerkan and Talnakh. In the department for servicing the territory of the Center, they are also involved in the disclosure of property crimes.
- Initially, the image of the detective of the criminal investigation department was formed on the basis of popular films and TV shows, which are actually quite far from reality, - says Natalia Fedorova. - But at the same time, they very beautifully talk about the working days of operatives. Compared to the everyday life of a detective, I can call my work as an assistant to a district police officer or in the teaching staff somewhat routine, monotonous, simple. You know what you will do the next day. And work on the wanted list is more intellectual and dynamic. When I first came here, I expected that there would be ambushes, chases, pursuit and arrest of criminals, serious analytics. Basically, that's how it turned out. You are in touch 24 hours, there is endless communication with people, independent decision-making, conducting operational-search activities. All the time you are going somewhere, running, constantly on the move, work "in the field" is replaced by office work. No time to be bored. And I have been living in this rhythm for two years already. Now the direction of my work is the crimes committed in the territory of the Center service, especially fraud and theft from bank cards. Prior to that, she was looking for people who were missing and lost contact with relatives. I had to look for criminals hiding from the investigation and inquiry, children who left home. Adult Norilsk people most often disappear while hunting and fishing, less often as a result of any criminal acts. Teenagers run away from home when they simply become uncomfortable with their loved ones, when they are trying to prove something to the world. In general, the work of an operative is universal. In addition to performing daily work, detectives as part of the investigative-operational group take up daily duty around the city. Operational groups are on duty every day, on average, one operative has up to four shifts per month, and sometimes more. In addition to the detective, the investigative-operational group includes an investigator, an interrogating officer, a district police officer, a forensic expert and a driver. The group travels to all incidents occurring in the city during the day. Information about the emergency comes from the duty unit, testing begins. Witnesses are interviewed, CCTV footage is taken, and so on. Based on the results of the duty, a summary of recorded incidents is compiled. The most frequent reasons for the departure of the investigative-operational group are beatings and, as a result, causing bodily harm, theft, less often - robberies and crimes related to the distribution of drugs. Often, the work of an operative criminal investigation officer is confused with the activities of an investigator or interrogating officer. The task of the criminal investigation officers is to find the criminal, establish the witnesses of the crime, the presence of video cameras and collect the maximum amount of evidence. A confession is also accepted by the detective of the criminal investigation department. And the work of the investigator and the interrogating officer differs in the degree of severity of crimes. For example, petty thefts go to interrogators, and thefts with damage, large ones, not to mention economic crimes, go to investigators. Cases of beatings that caused physical pain to the victim, but did not lead to health consequences, are dealt with by the investigator, but the investigator will deal with the investigation of crimes causing grievous bodily harm. Personal experience - In September last year, we, together with employees of the Kayerkan police department No. , who made and distributed counterfeit thousandth and five thousandth banknotes, - recalls Natalia Fedorova. - It was very interesting to see the process of detention itself, its organization. It turned out almost like in the movies, with only minor amendments and a little more ordinary. Like all criminals, this one hoped to get rich quick and that the crime would go unpunished. But in vain.
Excerpt from the press release of the Norilsk Department of Internal Affairs:“Investigators of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Norilsk opened a criminal case against a 42-year-old previously convicted citizen, suspected of making and trying to sell counterfeit money. Employees of the criminal investigation department detained a man when he tried to sell two banknotes in denominations of 1,000 and 5,000 rubles with signs of forgery. During the search, 13 more counterfeit bills, two printed sheets of paper with uncut counterfeits, as well as computer equipment were found in his possession. A criminal case has been initiated against the man on the grounds of a crime under Article 186 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Production, storage, transportation or sale of counterfeit money”. The sanction of the article provides for up to eight years in prison.”
- My experience shows that "in the field" men show themselves best, but when working with documentation, women are more assiduous, patient and accurate, - sums up Natalia. - However, our men protect us and prefer to take on especially difficult incidents.
