How much do taxi drivers actually earn in Moscow?

In one of the social networks I had a dispute on the topic “ How much taxi drivers actually earn in Moscow and what is the reasonable cost of the trip? ” Let's try to figure it out and really approach the situation, but for the sake of completeness, we will consider 2 schemes:

The essence of the dispute is as follows - I copy excerpts and dialogues

Writes by a real person-passenger who uses taxi services in Moscow

Vladimir, let's calculate the standard salary in Moscow time 50 thousand. divided into 4 weeks of 5 days and 8 hours. In total, you need to earn 2.5 tons per day. It turns out at 300 rubles per hour! And according to taxi fares - 300 rubles - that's 10 minutes in comfort. Who wants what here? A cheap taxi? Do you want 1000 chtoli per hour? (We put gasoline and car depreciation in the remaining 3 days of work, 4 weeks is not the whole working month)

It was with these words that our conversation began, but in this conversation there is no such thing as a personal car, on which it is necessary to lay depreciation and other delights, which means that the assessment is more than not accurate!

Igor! If you think so, it means that you are an ordinary citizen-city dweller who thinks about little and thoughtlessly uses some of the benefits. Add to your numbers 1. The cost of gasoline per shift is 1000 (the average cost is paid at the expense of the driver and the employer has nothing to do with it), 2. Interest on each order is at least 500 rubles per shift (the driver pays), 3. Something to eat or the same cigarettes - at least 200 rubles, 4. A child seat or a booster is a driver's option (in most cases, it is also a driver's expense). In total, and according to your calculations, it turns out very approximately that the minimum price tag, whatever one may say, should be around 400 rubles of the minimum wage. In your calculations, the cost of an hour turns out to be 278 rubles, and now we add to them all of the above (gasoline + 20,000 to that fifty dollars), minimum interest (500 rubles / shift + 10,000 to fifty dollars), eat another 4,000. In total, we have 50,000 + 20,000 + 10,000 + 4,000 = 84,000, and now we divide all this (according to your scheme into hours and the cost of an hour) = 467 rubles / hour according to the 8 + 1 scheme according to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. And who will say more here that the cost of a taxi needs to be reduced? At a cost of 300 rubles, you also need to pay extra, and if you take into account that this is how it works, then working in a taxi today is not profitable, not profitable under any scheme = even a salary, even a taxi car rental, even though this business is unprofitable by your own car , and passengers - for passengers and officials, it is profitable and convenient (about the benefits above in my post).

Why don't you put 50t into your salary for 4000?))) You don't feed your passenger :) In short, at different poles, drivers are always not enough, passengers are always dear. Personal transport drives :) All of the above is not intended to offend or infringe on you! IMHO

My answer

Those 4000 are exactly what the driver spends on the shift, his expenses or the driver should not put this figure in order to spend it while at work? I all understand that it is easier to unsubscribe without hesitation, but you just try to look at it all from the outside, and not turn away like "One of the many herd" - do not consider it an insult (I did not keep this in my thoughts!). Yes, and yet, as I understand it, do you agree with the rest?

Interlocutor's answer

that gasoline should be spent and% for orders - how can he disagree. You did not understand about meals - your life support (which includes just food) is expenses from your salary. Your passengers receive a salary and go to the dining room to dine, but they do not ask them to pay more for it (like this is the salary, but give me some more compensation for lunch). About cigarettes, in general, such taxi drivers would be tagged with a special category (PERSONALLY this is not acceptable to me). Child seat is a one-time attachment.

Continuation of the dialogue

The taxi driver is not a salary employee, he is on piecework, and if you do not lay this article, then it turns out from 50,000 minus 4,000 each time. You try to defend your point of view as a consumer of the service from the series "I want it to be that way!" You ask Pavel at what percentage of his drivers work and this scheme will have to be recalculated once again according to how the total amount will grow again and this is exactly the case! I do not want to say that I only defend my point of view, I just want you to think about it and perhaps tell your friends and girlfriends about these numbers for the sake of understanding what it all adds up to in a taxi. And yet, you calculated everything theoretically correctly, and if now we take the average wages of a taxi driver per hour (drove the order, stood up for waiting, received the order, submitted the car, completed the order), then in total, on the shift, the taxi driver earns even with those tariffs, over which you are indignant no more than 350 rubles per hour when changing (otherwise it will simply work negatively or will not work anything) starting from at least 12 hours a day (this is how I received an order, submitted a car, etc.). Here is such a simple arithmetic + the realities of a taxi driver's life.

So how much does a taxi driver actually earn in Moscow?? Let's count, dear moles readers:

The first scheme is an absolutely legal taxi driver working in his car, paying taxes taking into account all realities, connected to the YTaxi service at the Comfort tariff.

And so, the beginning of the shift, and we will take the most favorable situation when there is simply no end of orders from the orders with a minimum supply to the passenger's address both in terms of mileage and time (let this be a coverage radius of 2-3 km to the point of delivery of the car and an interval of 10 minutes ).

The start, like the rest of the working mass of people, is at 9.00 - that is, the order is received at 9 in the morning.

At 9:15 am we get under way and go at the minimum wage of 300 rubles for 10 minutes of the trip, which is almost unrealistic in the conditions of Moscow.

In total, the passenger pays the amount of the trip and we immediately move to the next address, but with a longer journey through Moscow streets and avenues in difficult traffic jams.

That is, in fact, we earn 450 + 300 rubles per hour = 750 rubles per hour. You will say that this is just a class, but such an ideal situation is extremely rare or it is almost impossible because, to calculate how and by what algorithm the Yandex robot distributes orders, and therefore, such a calculation is fundamentally incorrect and we will consider option 1 order - 1 hour of work at the minimum wage equal to 300 rubles and according to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation - that is, an 8-hour working day with a lunch break, equal to 1 hour like all normal working people!

In total, let's see what comes out, namely, we multiply 300 rubles by 8 hours of work = 2,400 rubles, ideally and without expenses, and now to the expenses for the shift (I repeat that this is a personal car with a taxi license issued for it and, of course, this whole kitchen is taxed - 40,000 rubles as in 2013).

  1. Depreciation is only standard maintenance once every one and a half months = 6,000 rubles and if it is included in the costs of the shift, then 182 rubles are obtained in 33 working days (one and a half months)

  2. Tax expense per day (40,000 rubles per year) = 152 rubles per shift

In total and for all current expenses, we get a total total = 2,384 rubles.

Now from the total amount obtained from 300 rubles / hour multiplied by 8 hours of work = 2,400 rubles, we subtract the resulting total of expenses and we have

at the exit 16 rubles of salary per shift

and multiply the approximate

profit for 22 working days = 352 rubles per month!

And you say this is a decent salary?

This is the salary of an individual entrepreneur - a legal carrier who, according to the law, is responsible with all his property for absolutely everything and in particular for the life and health of passengers who believe (together with our politicians and employees of the Department of Transport) that this is correct and the cost of a taxi in Moscow should be reduced ...

Naturally, any consumer wants to travel for cheap, but not every professional is able to provide his services according to the principle “Below the plinth”, and for this reason, it is necessary to close to the devil's grandmother both YaTaxi and Get taxis and other network dispatch centers that have bred wildly in Moscow spaces, but I did not move on to the main part of this “Marlezon ballet”, namely to the scheme of rental taxi transport as an individual entrepreneur (It is this scheme that has bred and is supported by all more or less legal taxi companies, which in their essence are just campaigns for the provision and rental of a car branded as a taxi.

Everything is the same here, so as not to print again, I just copy what has already been written and add to the expenses the cost of renting a car (the average price of renting a Comfort class car is 1,600 rubles per day)

  1. Tax expense per day (40,000 rubles per year) = 152 rubles per shift

  2. Car wash before shift = 350 rubles

  3. Gasoline per shift = 1,000 rubles

  4. Payment of interest on orders = 500 rubles

  5. Meals = 200 rubles / shift (well, if it's on a budget)

  6. Taxi car rental = 1 600 rubles

In total, the expense is 3 802 rubles

That is, in total and for a shift of 8 hours multiplied by all the same 300 rubles, we get not a plus, but

minus out of pocket equal

1,418 rubles!

P.S.

Until our government, and primarily the Department of Transport, as a controlling body, is guided by populism and the wishes of passengers, the taxi business, as such, will soon cease to exist if everything is done in white. You are the people who use the services and benefits of our state and PERSONALLY YOU ARE READY TO WORK FOR LESS THAN 5% OF REAL WAGE working more than 12 hourson your working day and answer with your property and everything that you have in front of the stupid and populist decision of not smart leaders and also with a real opportunity to go to jail?

By the way, I highly recommend reading a similar review about the real earnings of a taxi driver in the city of Ivanovo - it is very sobering for both taxi drivers in large cities and passengers who work in the regions for a salary of 7,000 - 20,000 rubles.
